Grainy... but not real bad

Think about what you paid for it. It is not going to be perfect, but it will capture life... I like the fact that it has a removable battery... which is the same battery I have for my still camera (cannon). I have the option of charging through USB or with an external charger. That is great.

The first...

Recently I have purchased the Creative Vado SD for $89.99 plus tax and had it shipped to my home. I spent many hours ahead of time researching the different pocket cams and decided that this one would be best for my family. The video seems to be ok, and the sound is... OK. The zoom does not neccesarily work to what I would like it too but over all it is a good camera. The only problem I had arose when I plugged it into the computer to download the videos and the video manager would not pop up. I am using Vista Home Premium. Later on (months) there must have been an update done that allowed it to work because it now works flawlessly.

This is one of the sites i used to help me decide on my choice:

I also looked into the Kodak Zi6 version, but decided that it lost in every category.

By far, The Creative Labs Vado beats out the competition hands down. But you need to remember one thing... You are purchasing a video camera for approximately $90. Please do not expect everything to be perfect. You are not purchasing this camera to develop a multi-million dollar movie, you are purchasing it to capture your everyday life and the things you want to remember.

I will be adding more posts, later, to show video quality, audio quality and funcionality.
